ShoppingPalaver: Food & Friends at C&B

Food & Friends, which prepares, packages and delivers meals and groceries to people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses throughout the Washington, DC area, has partnered with Crate and Barrel to provide two ways to do your holiday shopping and support Food & Friends.   December 6 In-Store Event: On Wednesday, December 6, they are closing the Spring Valley Crate and Barrel to hold an evening of private shopping, raffle prizes, cocktails, and hors d'oeuvres from 7 to 9:30 p.m.  10% of the evening's sales will go to Food & Friends.  Tickets are $35, and can be purchased online.  Online Shopping from December 7 to 14:  From December 7 to 14, 10% of sales from Crate and Barrel’s website – when entered from the link Food & Friends will provide – will be donated to Food & Friends.  Check this link again in December for the proper link to start your shopping at crateandbarrel.com.  Whether you're planning to buy holiday gifts, party decorations, or -- even better -- big ticket items like a new couch, simply following the Food & Friends link to Crate and Barrel's website will result in donations to this worthy cause at no cost to you.  What could be easier?
